I can make you Thin by Paul McKenna - Book Review
If you've read any of my other reviews of Paul Mckenna's books, you'll probably realize that I'm quite a fan.
The reason for this is simple, I think Paul writes good clear books that are easy to read, full of useful exercises, and also provide some value for people with more knowledge of NLP, and of course his CDs are excellent.
As to 'I can make you thin', I must admit that this is a book that I don't actually need, but it's a popular books so I thought it was worth a read, though I did get a few odd looks queuing up to pay for my copy of 'I can make you thin' in the bookshop.
Paul has been running his seminars around the content of 'I can make you thin' for several years now, and if you can't make one, then this book is the next best thing. Also it's an awful lot cheaper than a seminar and if you follow the instructions you could get similar results. When it comes to weight loss Paul's results speak for themselves. Paul has had huge success with his weight loss seminars and hopefully some of that magic could rub off on you from reading this book.
Weight loss is a complex issue, most people need help dealing with compulsions, confidence, and motivation just to get started! Paul covers the issues that he has identified working with thousands of people over several years.
The book 'I can make you Thin' of a very similar style to both 'I can make you Rich', and 'Seven Days', containing a mixture of standard Self-help, Hypnosis, and NLP exercises, and is sure to help many people make the changes they need to lose weight, and keep it off, to motivate them to exercise and eat well, especially if you use the cd regularly. And that is really the key to success with this, or in fact any of Paul's publications - USE THE CD REGULARY!
It's amazing how many people buy a book to help them with a specific issue only to read the book promising themselves they'll go back and do the exercises. Six months later the book is sat gathering dust and they're wondering why they haven't changed. Don't let this be YOU!

CD
I was thinking of buying this book, but I can't see how I can find the time to use the CD often enough for it to be effective at losing weight. Are there other NLP books I can try?
How often is often enough to use the CD?

Are you really motivated to lose weight?
If you don't have enough time to use the 'I can make you thin' cd then I don't think you'll find enough time for any other approach.
The best way to use the CD is to use it every night before you go to sleep for a week, then use it once a week. After a few months you may find once a month is enough, but I would stick with once a week if you can manage it.
